"Okay, here is life before the pok. In my home studio, I'm basically a one man show. Including tasks from playing guitar, to engineering, to recording vocals. I can't tell you how many times, while I was either recording guitars, bass, or vocals, did I say to myself: 'If only I had a unit that I could use that would free up my hands during this recording process. Imagine the time I could save, and how easy it would be for me to stay in the vibe while recording'.
Well, that was life before the pok. Now that I have this great invention that was so long overdue, life is so much easier. Now, when I'm recording vocals, I don't have to reach over to my computer's keyboard to do another take. Nor do I have to do that while recording guitar parts. All I have to do is control the session by using the pok's foot controls, and I'm in business.
Not only is the pok great for studio recording. It can also be used in live situations as well. How do I know? Because I'm using it in my solo project. I've been trying to figure out a way for my drummer to start, stop and locate the various loops that I have going in my live show. Before, he had to reach over to the computer, stop it, start it, and locate songs by using his hands. Now, that's a little too much going on for the drummer. It's just more to cause confusion, and make him lose focus.
Now that I have the pok. I programmed my location points, as well as start and stop. This has made it a lot easier for my drummer and less stress for me.
Bottom line: the pok is my new best friend. You can't go wrong with this unit".
